Introduction: The Eternal Nature of God

One of the most profound mysteries of God is His eternal existence. Unlike humans or creation, God has no beginning and no end—He simply IS. Understanding this concept is key to deepening faith, because it reminds us that God is unchangeable, all-powerful, and beyond human limitations.

1. God Has Always Existed

Revelation 22:13 (KJV) – "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last."

The Bible teaches that God is not created—He always was, and He always will be. He is the origin of all things, yet He Himself has no origin. This truth sets Him apart from every other being in existence.

2. God Exists Outside of Time

Isaiah 57:15 (KJV) – "For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity."

Unlike human life, which has a clear beginning and end, God is not bound by time. He exists in eternity, meaning that past, present, and future are all within His control.

In Exodus 3:14, when Moses asked for God’s name, He replied: "I AM THAT I AM."

This powerful declaration means God is self-existent—He depends on nothing and has always been.

His promises never expire. (Lamentations 3:22-23)

His power never fades. (Hebrews 13:8)
