"A Prayer in the voice of a child dealing with this issue."

Dear God,

Sometimes life feels a little confusing, and my heart feels sad. My family is changing, and I don’t always understand why. But I know that You love me, and You are always with me, no matter what happens.

When I feel lonely, remind me that You are my best friend. When I feel scared, hold me close and make me brave. When I feel angry or confused, help me find peace and calm in my heart. You know everything I’m feeling, and You care about all of it.

God, please help my parents to be kind to each other and to take care of me. Even if things feel different, I pray that You help my family find new ways to love and support each other. I know You are always working for good, even when things are tough.

Your Word says in Psalm 34:18, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Thank You for being close to me when I feel sad.

And in Deuteronomy 31:8, You promise: “The Lord Himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” Thank You for always being with me, no matter what.

Please bring people into my life who will make me feel safe and loved—friends, teachers, and family members who remind me that I am special. Help me to have joy in my heart, even when things feel different at home.

I trust You, God. Thank You for loving me always.

In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
