Prayer for Leaders and Those in Authority

Heavenly Father, I come before You today, lifting up those in leadership—whether in government, business, ministry, or community service. Your Word instructs us to pray for those in authority: "I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty." (1 Timothy 2:1-2, KJV)

Lord, grant our leaders wisdom to make righteous decisions. "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him." (James 1:5, KJV) May they seek Your guidance in every step they take and lead with integrity and humility.

Father, strengthen them in times of difficulty. Leadership carries great responsibility, and challenges may arise. "The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul." (Psalm 121:7, KJV) Protect them from discouragement and equip them with courage to stand firm in truth.

May they lead with compassion and justice, reflecting Your love. "He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?" (Micah 6:8, KJV) Let their leadership bring peace, fairness, and prosperity to those they serve.

Thank You, Lord, for placing leaders in positions of influence. May they always seek Your will and be guided by Your Spirit.
