Introduction: No One Is Too Far Gone
Let’s be real—life is messy. People make mistakes, deal with regret, question their worth, and sometimes feel like they’ve drifted too far from God to ever come back. But here’s the truth: Jesus’ invitation has no barriers.
No one is too broken. No one is too lost. No one is too distant for Him. His love isn’t reserved for the “perfect” or the ones who have it all figured out—it’s for everyone, exactly as they are. The open call of salvation and grace is for all people, no exceptions, no exclusions.
So if you’ve ever felt unworthy, too messed up, or like God couldn’t possibly want you—this is for you.
Jesus Calls Everyone—No Exceptions
From the beginning, Jesus made it clear that His love wasn’t selective. He didn’t come for a small group of people—He came for the world.
John 3:16 says it plainly: "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
Notice it doesn’t say "God loved the righteous" or "God loved the ones who did everything right." It says THE WORLD—that includes every race, every gender, every background, every mistake, every doubt.
Jesus’ invitation isn’t earned—it’s given freely.
Jesus Shows Up for the Outcasts
Throughout His time on Earth, Jesus constantly went against social expectations. He didn’t hang out with the religious elite—He sought out the broken, the rejected, the ones who felt unworthy.
1. The Prodigal Son (Luke 15:11-32)
One of the most powerful stories in the Bible is the Prodigal Son. A young man ran away, wasted his life, and hit rock bottom. He thought he’d ruined everything, but when he decided to go back home, his father ran to him—embracing him, celebrating him, restoring him.
Jesus told this story to prove how God welcomes everyone back—no matter how far they’ve wandered.
2. The Criminal on the Cross (Luke 23:39-43)
When Jesus was dying on the cross, there was a criminal next to Him, someone who had spent his life in sin. In his final moments, he looked to Jesus and asked to be remembered—and Jesus immediately promised him paradise.
This guy had no time to fix his mistakes, no chance to make things right—but Jesus still accepted him.
His grace is that big.
Salvation Is Open to All—Not Just the “Good” People
Sometimes, people think they have to be “good enough” to come to Jesus. But salvation isn’t based on good deeds—it’s based on grace.
Ephesians 2:8-9 says: "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast."
If salvation was something people had to earn, nobody would make it. That’s why Jesus paid the price—so ANYONE who believes in Him can be saved.
Encouragement for Anyone Feeling Unworthy
Maybe you feel like:
You’ve messed up too much for God to still love you.
Your doubts are too strong for faith to be real.
You don’t deserve grace because of your past.
But Jesus never turns anyone away. He said in Matthew 11:28: "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."
Not some people. ALL people.
You don’t have to have it all together. You don’t have to prove yourself. You just have to come.
Conclusion: Jesus Is Waiting With Open Arms
Jesus’ invitation has no conditions, no qualifications, no barriers. He is calling everyone, regardless of who they are, what they’ve done, or where they’ve been.
You are not too broken.
You are not too lost.
You are not too far gone.
His love is for you. Will you accept it?
