Introduction: Keeping Your Faith Strong
Starting a walk with Jesus is powerful, but maintaining it is just as important. Life gets busy, distractions pull attention away, and sometimes faith feels distant. This study explores how to stay connected with Jesus, grow deeper in faith, and keep moving forward, no matter what life brings.
1. Stay Rooted in Scripture
Reading the Bible consistently is key to growing in faith. Scripture is not just words—it is God’s voice, guidance, and truth.
Joshua 1:8 — "Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it."
2 Timothy 3:16-17 — "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness."
Bible Study Application:
Choose a book of the Bible to read (John, Psalms, Romans).
Set aside daily time to read, even if it’s just 10 minutes.
Write down one takeaway from your reading each day.
2. Build a Strong Prayer Life
Prayer keeps your relationship with Jesus active and personal. It’s not just about asking for things—it’s talking, listening, and connecting with Him daily.
Philippians 4:6-7 — "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 — "Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances."
Bible Study Application:
Start a prayer journal—write prayers, struggles, and answered prayers.
Pray about everything—even the smallest decisions.
Spend time in silent reflection, listening for God’s guidance.
3. Surround Yourself With Other Believers
Faith grows stronger in community. Being around people who love Jesus will encourage, challenge, and support your walk.
Hebrews 10:24-25 — "Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together."
Proverbs 27:17 — "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another."
Bible Study Application:
Join a Bible study or church group.
Have faith conversations with friends—share struggles and encourage one another.
Find a mentor in faith—someone who has walked with Jesus longer.
4. Obey & Live Out Your Faith
Faith isn’t just about belief—it’s about action. Following Jesus means living out His teachings in everyday life.
James 1:22 — "Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says."
Micah 6:8 — "Act justly, love mercy, walk humbly with your God."
Bible Study Application:
Ask: How can I live out my faith today?
Serve others—volunteer, show kindness, forgive freely.
Let love lead every action, conversation, and decision.
5. Keep Trusting, Even in Hard Times
Faith doesn’t mean life will always be easy. There will be struggles, doubts, and setbacks—but Jesus remains faithful.
Isaiah 41:10 — "Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God."
Romans 8:28 — "We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him."
Bible Study Application:
When challenges come, go to God first instead of relying on your own strength.
Read stories of faith through trials (Job, Paul, David).
Declare promises of God’s faithfulness over your life.
Conclusion: Staying Strong in Your Walk
Maintaining faith takes intentional effort. Stay in Scripture, pray consistently, surround yourself with believers, live out your faith, and trust God in every season.
Faith isn’t about perfection—it’s a daily choice to keep walking with Jesus. He is always there, ready to lead the way.
