A Prayer for Love

Heavenly Father,

I come before You today, asking for Your love to fill my heart and overflow into every area of my life. Your Word says in 1 John 4:7-8 (KJV), "Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love." Lord, help me to love as You love—unconditionally, selflessly, and with grace.

Teach me to love others with kindness and patience, even when it is difficult. 1 Corinthians 13:4-5 (KJV) says, "Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil." Let my love reflect Your goodness and mercy.

Lord, I ask that You remove any bitterness, anger, or unforgiveness from my heart. Help me to walk in love, even toward those who have hurt me. Ephesians 4:32 (KJV) says, "And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you."

Fill me with Your perfect love, which casts out all fear. 1 John 4:18 (KJV) says, "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love." Let Your love bring peace and confidence into my life.

Thank You, Lord, for loving me first and teaching me how to love others. May I always walk in Your love, Your grace, and Your truth.
