"But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint." — Isaiah 40:31

There comes a time in life when we feel completely drained, unable to keep fighting the battles that seem to hit us relentlessly. The weight of stress, disappointment, and exhaustion threatens to pull us under. We try to muster our own strength, but at some point, we realize—we don’t have enough within ourselves. But here’s the good news: we don’t have to. Because we know who does.

God Is Our Strength

In moments of weakness, when we feel like we can’t keep going, God steps in. His strength is limitless, His power unmatched, and His presence unwavering. When we feel like giving up, He lifts us up.

Psalm 46:1 reminds us: "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."

This scripture doesn’t say God gives us strength sometimes—it says He IS our strength. That means when we are weak, tired, and worn down, He becomes the force that carries us forward. We don’t have to rely on our own ability. We just have to lean on Him.

God Fights for Us

There are battles we were never meant to fight alone. Some struggles feel impossible—like enemies rising up against us, circumstances working against us, and obstacles too massive to overcome. But the truth is, God fights for His people.

Exodus 14:14 declares: "The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still."

Imagine that—the Creator of the universe stepping in on your behalf. He sees what’s coming against you. He knows the weight you carry. And He says, “I’ve got this. Stand back and trust Me.”

There is peace in knowing that we don’t have to keep pushing through every battle alone. The victory isn’t dependent on our own effort. It is already won in Him.

Giving God Our Burdens

The hardest part is learning to let go. Many of us carry burdens that are far too heavy, refusing to release them because we feel like we have to figure things out ourselves. But Jesus makes it clear: we were never meant to bear these loads alone.

Matthew 11:28-30 offers an invitation: "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."

If you’re tired, drained, and at your breaking point, this is your moment to surrender it all to God. You weren’t designed to carry the weight of the world—but He can.

Resting in His Strength

Strength isn’t just about pushing forward. Sometimes, it’s about resting in God’s presence, trusting that He is working, even when we don’t see it.

Isaiah 41:10 reassures us: "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand."

There is peace in knowing that God is holding you up, not letting you fall, and strengthening you when you feel weak. You don’t have to fight so hard—you just have to trust Him.

A New Perspective

Instead of saying, “I don’t have the strength to fight anymore,” shift your mindset to: “I don’t need to fight alone—God has this.”

This is not a sign of defeat. It’s a sign of faith. It’s the moment you recognize that victory is secured, not because of your own power, but because of the One who fights for you.

Let go. Release the fear. Rest in His strength. And trust that the battle is already won.

Amen.
