Salvation is a gift from God, offered freely through Jesus Christ. The Bible makes it clear that eternal life comes only through believing in Him and accepting His sacrifice.
1. Acknowledge That You Need Salvation
Romans 3:23 – "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."
No one is perfect; sin has separated humanity from God. Recognizing the need for salvation is the first step toward eternal life.
2. Believe That Jesus Is Lord and Savior
John 3:16 – "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
Jesus died for our sins and rose again—overcoming death so that we might have eternal life.
3. Confess Your Faith in Jesus
Romans 10:9 – "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." It is written, Romans 10:13, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
Salvation requires confession—openly declaring faith in Jesus Christ as Lord. So, right where you are begin to say, "Thank you Jesus for salvation," "Thank you Jesus for freedom," Thank you Jesus for your keeping power," and "Fill me with your Holy Spirit." Begin to call upon the name of Jesus for strength and power, until you experience a rebirth of the mevement of the Holy Spirit upon your life.
Prayer for Salvation
If you are ready to accept Christ, pray this prayer sincerely:
"Heavenly Father, I recognize that I am a sinner and need Your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ died for my sins and rose from the dead. I repent of my sins and ask You to come into my heart. Lord, I accept You as my Savior and King. Thank You for saving me. In Jesus' name, Amen."
If you’ve prayed this prayer with sincerity, you have entered into a new life in Christ! The Bible promises that your name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.
