A Prayer to Receive the Holy Ghost

In the name of Jesus,

I come before You with a heart that longs to be filled with Your Spirit. Lord, I desire to know You more, to walk in Your presence, and to be led by Your wisdom. Your Word promises the gift of the Holy Ghost to those who seek You, and today, I open my heart in full surrender.

Father, cleanse me of all sin and prepare me to receive the fullness of Your Spirit. In Acts 2:38, You remind me, “Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” Lord, I repent before You—I turn away from anything that separates me from You, and I embrace Your grace and mercy.

Holy Spirit, come into my life. Dwell within me, guide me, and empower me to walk according to Your truth. Fill me with divine wisdom, understanding, and the ability to live a life that reflects Christ. Let Your presence be evident in my words, my actions, and my thoughts.

Your Word says in John 14:26, “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.” Lord, let Your Spirit teach me, guide me, and remind me of Your promises.

I surrender all to You, trusting that You will pour out Your Spirit upon me as You have promised. Let me walk in Your power, strengthened by Your love, and equipped to fulfill the purpose You have for my life.

Thank You for Your presence, for Your mercy, and for the gift of the Holy Ghost. I receive it with faith and gratitude, knowing that You are with me always.
